## Job description

### Location

United States, home-based, West Coast Join IQVIA's Sponsor-Dedicated FSP team and help advance healthcare through real-world evidence. We bring together scientific expertise and real-world data to help sponsors make decisions and accelerate evidence generation to improve patient outcomes. In this role, you'll work closely with one sponsor, gaining deep knowledge of its therapies while leveraging IQVIA's global expertise.

### Overview

As a Senior Epidemiologist supporting a sponsor-dedicated oncology program, you will independently execute real-world evidence initiatives that inform early clinical development. Your work will focus on using RWE to characterize the natural history of disease, assess disease landscapes, evaluate study feasibility, and support Phase 1-3 clinical development programs, with a primary emphasis on ovarian cancer and additional work in lung cancer.

This is a hands-on execution role for an experienced epidemiologist who can take ownership of assigned work with limited supervision and operate effectively within a pharmaceutical environment.

### Responsibilities

Independently plan and execute epidemiology and real-world evidence activities supporting early clinical development programs across Phases 1-3. Use real-world data and epidemiologic methods to describe the natural history of disease and characterize oncology disease landscapes. Conduct feasibility assessments to evaluate research questions, available data, study populations, endpoints, and potential study approaches. Develop and contribute to study protocols, analysis plans, study reports, clinical study reports, and other scientific deliverables.

Support regulatory-grade real-world evidence studies, applying appropriate epidemiologic rigor and documentation standards. Provide hands-on epidemiology execution for ovarian cancer programs and contribute to lung cancer studies as assigned. Interpret study findings and communicate methods, assumptions, limitations, and results clearly to sponsor stakeholders and cross-functional partners. Manage assigned work proactively, resolve execution issues, and deliver high-quality outputs with minimal oversight.

Work effectively within a sponsor-dedicated model, collaborating with sponsor teams across functions and time zones.

### Requirements

PhD in Epidemiology is required. Demonstrated experience applying epidemiology and real-world evidence to Phase 1-3 clinical development programs. Prior pharmaceutical industry experience is required. Knowledge of regulatory-grade real-world evidence expectations and rigorous observational research methods. Demonstrated oncology epidemiology experience, including ovarian cancer; lung cancer experience is strongly preferred.

Experience conducting natural history, disease landscape, and study feasibility work using real-world data. Experience developing study protocols, clinical study reports, and related epidemiology deliverables. Proven ability to work independently, take ownership of assigned studies, and execute with limited supervision. Strong scientific writing, analytical, project management, and stakeholder communication skills. What's in it for you?

Be part of a forward-thinking team that helps shape the next generation of evidence-based healthcare. Work hand-in-hand with one leading sponsor, gaining deep expertise in its therapies and development programs. Access IQVIA's global network and scientific community to support your continued growth.
