[Apply on International Paper’s careers site →](https://iazbqy.fa.ocs.oraclecloud.com/hcmUI/CandidateExperience/en/sites/CX/job/2001819) [OpenNash Jobs](https://jobs.opennash.com/) / [International Paper](https://jobs.opennash.com/companies/international-paper/) / Maintenance General Mechanic ## Job description " ### Position Title General Mechanic Pay Rate: $40.53 Category/Shift: Hourly Full-Time – Must be flexible to work all three shifts, work 12 hours as need, and Saturdays as needed. 1st Shift – 6:00 AM to 2:00 PM 2nd Shift – 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM 3rd Shift – 10:00 PM to 6:00 AM Physical Location: Gilroy Container (Box) 6400 Jamieson Way Gilroy, CA 95020 408-848-0111 The Job You Will Perform: - Interfaces with production supervision to effect safe repairs to equipment and ensure that equipment is returned to operations in an acceptable condition - Performs regularly scheduled preventive maintenance and monthly safety checks - Make repairs & modifications to equipment and facilities as scheduled through the work order system - Responsible for completing all paperwork assigned and coordinating with the Reliability Supervisor to ensure data is correct and recorded - Other duties as assigned The Skills You Will Bring: - At least one year of successful mechanical troubleshooting and repair experience in a manufacturing facility. - On-the-job success in safety, attendance and quality of work expected. - Maintenance experience in corrugated a plus.
