[Apply on International Paper’s careers site →](https://iazbqy.fa.ocs.oraclecloud.com/hcmUI/CandidateExperience/en/sites/CX/job/2003784) [OpenNash Jobs](https://jobs.opennash.com/) / [International Paper](https://jobs.opennash.com/companies/international-paper/) / Journeyman J-1 Pipefitter ## Job description Hourly –Maintenance Journeyman (J1) ### Pipefitter Job Posting Template Position Title Maintenance Journeyman (J1) ### Pipefitter Pay Rate 42.62 / hr. ### Physical Location Springfield Mill 801 42 nd Street Springfield, Oregon 97478 541-741-5592 Category/Shift: Hourly Full-Time - Days (6am-4:30pm - Monday-Thursday) ### Job Requirements - At least 18 years of age - Minimum high school graduate, GED, or equivalent work experience - Eligible for employment in the US - At least three ( 3) years of work experience in any one of the following mechanical disciplines: PIPEFITTING ### Must be willing to meet the following requirements - Work in industrial conditions (may be warm/hot, dusty/dirty, around hazardous chemicals, noise, heavy machinery, elevated working surfaces, and confined spaces (with proper safety training and safety protection) - Undergo technical online testing, interview, and a formal hands-on assessment of skills - Undergo a drug screen for illicit use of drugs as a condition of employment - Undergo an job related health assessment as a condition of employment - Submit to periodic drug screens as a condition of employment - Work any shift and/or a rotating shift schedule - Work overtime on a regular basis and with last minute notification - Work holidays and/or weekends on a regular basis - Wear required safety equipment It is preferred that candidates have the following skills and/or experience(s): - Associates degree or certification(s) in any of the following mechanical disciplines: MILLWRIGHT, MACHINIST, WELDING, or PIPEFITTING - A minimum of 3 years work experience in any one of the following mechanical disciplines: PIPEFITTING - Relevant work experience in an industrial environment. ### The Job You Will Perform This position will assist journeymen-level mechanical maintenance technicians in routine maintenance work as well as performing many duties independently. Non-applicable skills/experience can be removed but adding skills/experience is not permitted.
