## Job description

### Job Details

Job Description: Join a team developing Fleet and Scale software solutions that are critical to Data Center customers. You will work with internal and external teams to enable high-quality Intel server product launches and improve the in-fleet customer experience. This role is well suited to a quick learner who is results-oriented and comfortable in a dynamic environment. As a Software Development Engineer with microarchitecture expertise, you will develop, validate, maintain, and debug customer fleet health capabilities and cloud-scale software for platform monitoring, telemetry, diagnostics, and fleet screening.

Intel and hyperscale cloud customers use these solutions to improve Xeon platform quality, reliability, and deployment readiness. Throughout the server product lifecycle, you will collaborate with architecture, platform validation, manufacturing, and customer engineering teams. You will also build customer consumable software that provides visibility into system state, platform telemetry, hardware health indicators, and Intel Architecture internals to help solve in-field and at-scale operational challenges.

Please consider this is a Temporary position (2 years).

### Key Responsibilities

Develop and maintain scalable screening and automation software that supports customer fleet health, platform quality, validation, deployment readiness, monitoring, defect detection, and operational efficiency. Design, develop, and optimize telemetry collection, diagnostics, observability, and health monitoring software, primarily using Python and C/C++. Extend existing frameworks and integrate software libraries, services, and infrastructure components to improve visibility into platform state and Intel Architecture internals.

Analyze large-scale telemetry and debug data to identify defect signatures, reliability trends, and opportunities for continuous quality improvement. Reproduce, debug, and resolve platform, firmware, and software issues in collaboration with customer-facing engineering teams. Perform root-cause investigations and develop screening methodologies across validation and customer environments. Support customer engagements through validation, deployment, and in-fleet operations.

Collaborate across architecture, platform, validation, manufacturing, and customer enablement teams to deliver fleet-ready solutions and drive continuous quality improvements. What You Bring The ideal candidate has strong hands-on experience in software development and debugging using C/C++ and Python within Linux environments, including the development of multithreaded applications, and building solutions for complex server, cloud, high-performance computing, or distributed systems.

Familiarity with x86 Architecture and system-level software interactions is also required. Additionally, the candidate should demonstrate solid knowledge of software development best practices, including Agile methodologies, requirements definition, unit, and regression testing, as well as a strong foundation in data structures, operating systems, and software engineering fundamentals.

### Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications, you must possess the minimum qualifications below to be initially considered for this position. Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field. 6+ years of combined experience in: Developing and debugging software in C/C++ and Python. Developing software in Linux environments. Developing and debugging multithreaded applications.

Building solutions for complex server, cloud, high-performance computing, or distributed systems. Working with x86 Architecture systems and system-level software interactions. Applying software development practices, including Agile development, requirements definition, unit testing, and regression testing. Applying data structures, operating systems, and software engineering fundamentals. Must have unrestricted, permanent authorization to work in Mexico.

This position is not eligible for visa or immigration sponsorship. Preferred Qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates. Experience developing and debugging in x86 assembly language. Knowledge of Intel Xeon platform and Uncore architecture. Understanding Linux internals, drivers, and runtime environments. Experience with GitHub, GitLab, Jenkins, or comparable CI/CD platforms.

Experience with cloud-native technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes, AWS, or Azure. Experience developing telemetry analytics, diagnostics, platform monitoring, or fleet management solutions.
