The company offers the widest range of compact, reliable, efficient, and innovative rotary gear, twin-gear, and triplet-twin gear pumps for a variety of viscous and semi-viscous liquid handling applications. The company commenced its operations in 1980 as a small proprietary venture with a vision to design, develop, manufacture, and market these pumps. It started with small, cost-effective, general-purpose gear pumps that were readily available through an extensive dealer network. The company followed a traditional brick-and-mortar business model with a consistent commitment to manufacturing high-quality products. It also addressed the unique pumping challenges associated with handling viscous liquids and provided expert guidance on the selection, installation, and operation of pumps. This customer-focused approach ensured sustained growth and enabled the company to successfully expand into the OEM and project business segments. ### Job Summary The Proposal Engineer is responsible for preparing techno‑commercial proposals in response to customer RFQs, tenders, and inquiries. The role acts as a bridge between Sales, Engineering, Operations, and Finance to ensure accurate costing, technical compliance, and timely submission of competitive proposals. ### Key Responsibilities - Proposal Preparation & Submission Prepare technical, commercial, and techno‑commercial proposals for customer inquiries. Study RFQs, drawings, specifications, and scope of supply to ensure full compliance. Prepare proposal documents including technical datasheets, compliance statements, and offer letters. Ensure proposals are submitted accurately and within deadlines. - Technical Evaluation & Coordination Review customer technical requirements for gear pumps / engineering products. Coordinate with Design, Production, Quality, and Testing teams for technical feasibility. Clarify specifications, performance parameters, and customization requirements. Prepare technical deviations and clarifications where required. - Costing & Commercial Support Support preparation of costing and price calculations in coordination with Finance and Sales. Evaluate BOM, machining, assembly, testing, packing, and logistics costs. Ensure target margins are met as per company guidelines. Assist Sales team during negotiations by providing technical and cost inputs. - Documentation & Compliance Prepare and manage proposal documents including: Technical specifications Compliance matrices Delivery schedules Quality and test plans Commercial terms Ensure adherence to internal approval and documentation processes. Maintain proper version control and proposal records. - Customer Interaction Respond to customer technical and commercial queries during proposal stage. Participate in clarification meetings and discussions when required. Support revisions, re‑quotes, and post‑submission follow‑ups. - Reporting & Coordination Maintain proposal status tracking and MIS. Update CRM or internal systems with proposal details. Support win‑loss analysis and proposal process improvement initiatives. Coordinate handover from proposal stage to order execution team. Gear Pump / Engineering Exposure Understanding of gear pump applications, performance parameters, and testing. Interpretation of engineering drawings and specifications. Awareness of manufacturing processes (CNC/VMC machining, assembly, testing). Knowledge of industrial customer requirements and standards. ### Key Skills & Competencies Ability to read and understand engineering drawings and technical specifications. Strong coordination and communication skills. Commercial awareness and attention to detail. Good analytical and documentation skills. Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, ERP/CRM systems. Time management and ability to work with multiple deadlines. Educational Qualification BE / BTech / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering MBA / PGDM (Sales / Marketing / Finance) – Preferred What we Offer We are all owners of the company!
