## Job description

### Introduction

We are seeking an entry-level Associate Product Manager (Band 6) to join our Agentic AI Platforms team. In this role, you will support the development and execution of product strategy for agentic AI capabilities — including autonomous agents, orchestration frameworks, and AI-driven workflows — across IBM Cloud, Red Hat, and IBM Software. This is an ideal position for a motivated early-career professional eager to build product management skills in a fast-growing AI platform space.

You will work closely with senior product managers, engineers, and cross-functional teams to contribute to roadmap planning, customer discovery, and delivery execution. Your role and responsibilities
- Assist in documenting and maintaining the product roadmap for agentic AI capabilities, tracking progress and surfacing risks.
- Research market trends, competitor offerings, and emerging AI architectures to inform product direction.
- Support development of product positioning and use case documentation for autonomous agents and AI-driven workflows.
- Assist in writing and refining product requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria for agent runtimes, orchestration layers, and platform integrations.
- Track delivery milestones, flag blockers, and maintain status updates across engineering workstreams.
- Support customer discovery and stakeholder interviews by coordinating logistics, taking notes, and synthesizing findings.
- Assist in preparing launch materials, field enablement content, and executive briefing decks.
- Assist in tracking and reporting KPIs related to product adoption and customer value across portfolios.
- Prepare clear status updates and progress summaries for senior leadership. Required technical and professional expertise
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Information Technology
- 0-2 years of product management, product operations, or related experience (internships and co-ops count).
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with an ability to synthesize complex information clearly.
- Genuine curiosity about AI/ML, large language models (LLMs), and cloud platforms.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
- Strong analytical skills and comfort working with data to support decision-making. Preferred technical and professional experience
- Exposure to agile product development methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, or similar).
- Familiarity with AI/ML concepts, cloud infrastructure, or developer platforms through coursework, projects, or internships.
- Basic understanding of OpenShift, hybrid cloud architectures, or open-source ecosystems is a plus.
- Experience with tools such as Jira, Aha!, Confluence, or similar product and project management platforms. IBM is committed to creating a diverse environment and is proud to be an equal-opportunity employer.

All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, gender, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, national origin, caste, genetics, pregnancy, disability, neurodivergence, age, veteran status, or other characteristics. IBM is also committed to compliance with all fair employment practices regarding citizenship and immigration status.
