Our culture of growth and empathy focuses on your long-term career development while valuing your unique skills and experiences. ### Your role and responsibilities The User Lifecycle Management Specialist is responsible for manual user lifecycle management, user provisioning, deprovisioning, policy enforcement and management of user permissions and accesses. The ULM Specialist L1 will work with different tools and technologies such as Microsoft Active Directory, CyberArk, OKTA, and/or other IAM technologies to complete the provisioning of users, policies, and permissions. The ULM L1 Specialist will also collaborate with other IAM and AD teams to ensure the infrastructure is running and available to all the users. ### Manual Creation of Users - The analyst will manually create new user accounts in Active Directory, Linux, other systems. This involves setting up user profiles according to job roles and departmental needs. ### Least Privilege Principle Adherence - Ensure that all created accounts adhere to the principle of least privilege, meaning users are given the minimum levels of access necessary to perform their job functions. ### User Account Maintenance - Regularly update and maintain existing user accounts, making changes as necessary due to job changes, transfers, or terminations within the organization. ### Deprovisioning - Actively work to eliminate users who are no longer with the company or have changed roles, ensuring all associated accounts are promptly deactivated to maintain system security. ### Access Management - Regularly review user account access rights to confirm they align with job responsibilities and industry standards. ### Documentation - Maintain precise records of all user account creations, modifications, and deletions for audit purposes and compliance with regulatory requirements. ### Problem Resolution - Troubleshoot issues related to user accounts, working closely with IT teams and end-users to resolve problems efficiently. ### Training & Support - Provide training and support to IT staff and end-users regarding user account management best practices and system usage. ### Policy Compliance - Ensure all account management activities comply with organizational policies, security standards, and industry best practices. ### Reporting - Generate regular reports on user account activity, access rights, and system performance for management review and decision-making. Required technical and professional expertise - Experience working in a Service Desk or IT department, creating and managing users. - Proficient knowledge of Active Directory, Microsoft EntraID and Linux systems. - Strong understanding of the principle of least privilege and access control concepts. - Excellent organizational skills with a focus on detail. - Strong problem-solving abilities and customer service orientation. - Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks. - Familiarity with identity and access management tools and methodologies is a plus. Preferred technical and professional experience - Experience working as a Service Desk Analyst, IT Analyst or User Administrator. - Strong understanding of the user lifecycle in AD. - Strong Understanding of AD DS. - Understanding of Azure AD. - Familiarity with IAM tools such as OKTA, CyberArk, Sailpoint or Saviynt. - Experience creating users and assigning permissions in Linux environments. - Relevant IT certifications such as Cisco IT Essentials, CCNA, Microsoft AZ900 are preferred IBM is committed to creating a diverse environment and is proud to be an equal-opportunity employer.
