A Day In The Life Every Day at Hubbell is different and you'll contribute in many ways. On any given day, you will make a difference by: - Assist manufacturing with implementation of safety, quality, delivery, and cost improvements - Design fixtures, carts, and tooling - Research and justify new capital equipment using A3 methodology - Create methods for standard work procedures - Participate in Rapid Improvement (Kaizen) events Recognize and help with problem solving efforts - Assist with preventative maintenance procedures - Work with design engineers to implement design changes What will help you thrive in this role? Pursuing a B.S. Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Technology, or related field. 2nd year + preferred Basics of manufacturing processes such as welding, metal cutting & forming, painting, assembly and serviceability. Utilization of Lean Manufacturing concepts 3D modeling experience with AutoCAD or Creo is a plus Mechanical/construction aptitude and hands-on design a plus Experience in fixture design (part specific tables and tools to help with manufacturing practices) Background in 3D printing is a plus Hubbell Incorporated Hubbell creates critical infrastructure solutions that power our customers, communities, people and the planet.
