This involves scheduling, coordinating, monitoring the expedient flow of parts through the manufacturing processes, and shipping to satisfy the customers’ delivery requirements. ### JOB RESPONSIBILITIES Communicates with customers concerning requirements, talks with them regarding other customer service-related concerns, and answers any other questions. Approximately 35% of available time is spent preparing and maintaining customer contacts. Acts as liaison between customers and manufacturing and support teams. Communicates customers’ requirements and concerns. Acts as the customer intermediary to ensure that specifications are met and delivery is timely. Engages in these activities about 25% of the time. Draws up master schedule to establish sequence and lead time of each operation to meet shipping dates according to sales forecasts or customer orders. - Use system & customer files to: Ensure tooling availability - Coordinate with toolroom for reworks and coatings Tooling Manager for tooling builds Department input schedules - Meet weekly input quantities - Meet weekly LOH targets - Meet weekly revenue targets - Analyzes production specifications and plant capacity data and performs mathematical calculations to determine manufacturing processes, tools, and human resource requirements. Plans and schedules workflow for each department and operation according to previously established manufacturing sequences and lead times. Plans sequence of fabrication, assembly, installation, and other manufacturing operations for guidance of production workers. Confers with department supervisors to determine status of assigned projects. Stay current with planning yields vs standard yields Monitors throughput and alters schedules to meet unforeseen conditions. Prepares production reports. Provides schedule/forecast information to purchasing and Engineering to ensure required materials, tools and equipment are in place. Updates information on computer for perpetual inventory system. Has custodial support responsibility for the physical inventory Provides both short and long term capacity analysis Responsible for both near and long term forecasting Other duties assigned ## Qualifications ### JOB SPECIFICATIONS EDUCATION: This position requires the minimum of an Associates Degree in production planning, marketing, or business discipline, or equivalent work-related experience EXPERIENCE: This position requires a minimum of one to three months related experience and/or training. ### PHYSICAL DEMANDS/EQUIPMENT USED The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization. Ability to function effectively in a team environment. Demonstrated requisite skills and abilities in basic computer operation. Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations. Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
