You will manage a team of developers, drive technical excellence, and deliver secure, resilient and scalable solutions across the full software development lifecycle, including production support. ### Job Duties Job Responsibilities: Lead solution architecture and system design for high-availability, high-throughput post-trade platforms and services. Take full ownership and accountability for delivery across the SDLC (requirements, design, development, testing, and implementation); manage delivery across complex stakeholder groups. Drive parallel delivery across multiple workstreams by planning, prioritising, and coordinating resources across internal teams and vendors where applicable. Provide engineering leadership on modern backend practices (microservices, cloud/container, messaging/streaming) and enforce coding, security, and quality standards. Collaborate with cross-functional technology and business teams to translate requirements into robust technical designs and implementation approaches. Manage production support of mission-critical system, lead production incident and problem management (investigation, resolution, root cause analysis and prevention) and drive continuous improvement for stability and performance. ### Job Requirements Bachelor’s degree (or above) in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline. Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in system design and development Minimum 5 years in a management and/or technical leadership capacity, with proven experience leading developers and owning delivery outcomes. Strong problem-solving skills, with an analytical mindset and the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues. Strong track record delivering mission-critical systems with complex stakeholder environments; excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. Strong hands-on expertise in Java engineering, including API design, concurrency, performance tuning, and troubleshooting production issues. Strong experience with microservice architecture, containers/Kubernetes, messaging/streaming (e.g. Kafka, ActiveMQ), Linux and database; solid understanding of cloud-native patterns is preferred. Familiarity with modern DevOps/engineering toolchains (e.g., source control, CI/CD, unit/integration testing, static analysis, artifact management) and quality practices.
