[Apply on Honeywell International’s careers site →](https://ibqbjb.fa.ocs.oraclecloud.com/hcmUI/CandidateExperience/en/sites/CX_1/job/155425) [OpenNash Jobs](https://jobs.opennash.com/) / [Honeywell International](https://jobs.opennash.com/companies/honeywell-international/) / Lead Field Service Fire Technician ## Job description As a Lead Field Service Fire Technician, you will be responsible for leading service, troubleshooting, maintenance, inspections, commissioning, and technical support activities for fire alarm systems across commercial, industrial, healthcare, education, and mission-critical customer sites throughout the Syracuse, NY region. You will serve as the technical leader for complex service activities, mentor junior technicians, coordinate field execution, and work directly with customers to ensure system reliability, code compliance, and operational excellence while delivering exceptional customer service. In this role, you will lead inspections, repairs, commissioning, upgrades, and acceptance testing of fire alarm systems and related life safety equipment, ensuring all work is completed in accordance with Honeywell standards, NFPA codes, local AHJ requirements, and customer expectations. ## Responsibilities ### Key Responsibilities Lead service, maintenance, inspections, troubleshooting, and repair activities Diagnose complex fire alarm issues Lead commissioning and acceptance testing Mentor technicians Complete reports Coordinate with PMs, AHJs and customers Ensure NFPA/OSHA compliance Participate in on-call support ## Qualifications YOU MUST HAVE HS Diploma/GED 3 or more years fire alarm field service 3 or more years commercial/industrial systems Valid driver's license 3 or more years customer-facing experience Knowledge of NFPA 72 and OSHA WE VALUE NICET I required; II or III preferred or willing to get certified within 90 days Honeywell fire platform experience NFPA 72 inspection experience Special hazard systems Advanced troubleshooting Blueprint reading AHJ coordination OSHA 10/30 Mentoring experience ### BENEFITS OF WORKING FOR HONEYWELL In addition to a competitive salary, leading-edge work, and developing solutions side-by-side with dedicated experts in their fields, Honeywell employees are eligible for a comprehensive benefits package.
