This position will work with the maintenance department to troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and modify equipment as assigned to support a continuous improvement culture. ### How You Will Make A Difference Position, align, fit, and weld parts to form complete units, following blueprints and layout specifications, and using jigs, welding torches, and hand tools - Design and construct templates and fixtures, using the required tools - Verify conformance of workpieces to specifications, using squares, rulers, and measuring tapes - Proficient in Math and can accurately read measuring devices Familiar with schematic reading, electrical, pneumatics, and general building - Ability to work independently - Knowledge in welding, (GMAW, SMAW, GTAW, FCAW) - Knowledge in braze welding - Maintains a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations Dexterity and hand-eye coordination, including ability to grasp, manipulate and assemble parts and components that are often very small, and/or heavy Your Background: Associates or technical degree in welding or related field and 1 year of experience Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO)-Females/Minorities/Protected Veterans/Individuals with Disabilities Protected veterans and qualified individuals with a disability may request a reasonable accommodation if you are unable or limited in your ability to use or access the Hitachi Energy career site as a result of your disability.
