Headquartered in Atlanta, Georgia, Novelis has approximately 13,000 employees in 32 operating facilities on 4 continents. ### Position Overview Novelis in Lincolnshire, Illinois has an opportunity to participate in our on-site summer 2027 internship. The team is seeking an Environmental, Health, and Safety Intern that can join the team for approximately 12 weeks. The person in this role will have the opportunity to participate in relevant work and gain hands on industry experience. The intern will report to the EHS Leader and will gain experience with environmental, health, and safety. ### Responsibilities Assist with implementation and administration of all matters related to plant EHS and security processes. Responsible for an EHS-related project. Assist with employee engagement activities including Safety Committee and training. Prioritize and maintain EHS related documentation. ### Minimum Qualifications Enrolled in an accredited 4-year University. Must be a Sophomore, Junior, Senior, or recent Graduate. Interested in gaining hands-on industry experience prior to graduation. Effective interpersonal and communication skills which are essential for interacting with all levels of the organization. Must be currently authorized to work in the United States for any employer. ### Preferred Qualifications Prefer students majoring in Occupational Safety and Health, Safety Management, or related fields. Fully committed to engage in safe working practices. Willing to work as part of a team to achieve safety, quality, and performance goals. Location Profile The finishing mill in Lincolnshire Illinois is located 26 miles from Chicago and was established in 1966. The facility cold rolls aluminum to a desired gauges anneals to tempers levels and slits the rolled sheet to size. The facility which employees around 100 people produces mill finish coils for the building construction and transportation industries where its’ products are used for gutters siding soffits and facia.
