When you join our Hotels team, that’s exactly what you’ll do every time you come to work! You will supervise and guide your team members closely, ensuring the service sequence is flawless and goes beyond guest expectations. As a Lead Server, you’re not just creating unforgettable dining moments – you’re spreading the light and warmth of hospitality by delivering memorable experiences that make the stay for every guest. ## Responsibilities ### Here’s what you’ll do during a typical day Follow the hotel's standard operating procedures, service policies, and techniques to deliver a luxury dining experience. Greet guests warmly, present menus, and provide detailed explanations of menu and buffet items, making recommendations as needed. Take accurate food and beverage orders and communicate them effectively to the kitchen and bar. Ensure timely service of food and beverages, following proper sequence and etiquette. Anticipate guest needs, offering refills and replenishments promptly (e.g., water, bread, condiments). Assist guests with seating, providing personalized service, and accommodating special requests. Address guest inquiries and resolve any concerns promptly, ensuring a seamless experience. Handle guest complaints professionally and escalate issues to the supervisor or manager when necessary. Possess thorough knowledge of the restaurant’s and menu, including ingredients, preparation methods, and allergens. Upsell and recommend menu items, pairing food with appropriate wine or beverages to enhance the dining experience. Understand the coordination between the kitchen and restaurant, ensuring smooth service flow. In addition, this role requires the following minimum qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent; proven experience in a similar role.
