When you join our Hotels team, that’s exactly what you’ll do every time you come to work! You will support the Chief Engineer / Assistant Chief Engineer in ensuring the smooth operation of all engineering functions, including hotel systems, plant and equipment, team management, sub-contractors, and maintenance of property structure and assets. As a Maintenance Supervisor, you’re not just overseeing the daily operations of physical building and systems maintenance and repairs – you’re spreading the light and warmth of hospitality by delivering memorable experiences that make the stay for every guest. ## Responsibilities ### Here’s what you’ll do during a typical day Ensure facility safety and compliance: Support the maintenance of the hotel’s buildings, mechanical systems, electrical systems, HVAC, and life safety systems, ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations Supervise maintenance operations: Assign and oversee daily maintenance tasks, ensuring thorough documentation of completed work in the property management system. ### Supervise and develop the team - Train, schedule, and supervise maintenance team members, providing guidance and support to ensure high-quality work and performance - Oversee contractor work: Supervise external contractors and inspect completed work for quality and compliance - Respond to service requests: Ensure maintenance requests, guest concerns, and emergency situations are addressed promptly and efficiently - Supervise and develop the team: Train, schedule, and supervise maintenance team members, providing guidance and support to ensure high-quality work and performance Equipment Maintenance & Efficiency: Repair and maintain all hotel systems and equipment, ensuring efficiency and informing management about deficiencies and stock control needs. ### Cost Management Adhere to departmental operating expenses, evaluate products for reuse, monitor stock levels, and ensure the operation runs according to budgets and profit margins. ## Qualifications At Hilton, our core values define what it takes to succeed here and guide the qualities we look for in every team member: A passion for spreading the light and warmth of Hospitality. In addition, this role requires the following minimum qualifications: Trade qualification in HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing, Building, or a related field preferred. Proven supervisory experience in maintenance or similar role. Must have sound general maintenance knowledge and trade background At least 5 years hands-on maintenance experience. Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
