## Job description

Banca Generali is one of the leading private banks in Italy, operating at the forefront of financial planning and asset management. Within the Investment Center – Asset Management, the Gestioni Patrimoniali team develops advanced investment solutions for the Bank’s clients. We are looking for a highly technical, hands‑on and curious profile to support the Asset Management team in data analysis, automation and reporting activities, with a strong focus on advanced Excel usage and AI‑driven tools.

This internship is designed for candidates who enjoy working directly with data, models and tools, adopting a “tinkerer / power‑user” mindset rather than a purely theoretical approach. The intern will be involved in operational and project‑based activities, including: Supporting the Asset Management team in portfolio and market data analysis

Developing and maintaining advanced Excel models (complex formulas, Power Query, pivots, automation) Building advanced reporting tools for portfolio monitoring and performance analysis Automating recurring processes (reporting, database updates, data quality checks) Supporting the maintenance and update of funds and instruments databases Using generative AI tools to: analyze and synthesize data; summarize market information; support the generation of investment insights Collaborating on the development of internal, data‑driven tools to support investment decision‑making.

## Qualifications

Degree (ongoing or completed) in: Economics, Finance, Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, Data Science or similar fields Advanced knowledge of Excel Strong technical aptitude and problem‑solving mindset High interest in data, automation and digital tools Good command of English.

Nice to Have (Strongly Valued) Experience with: Power Query / VBA / macros and data analysis tools Familiarity with generative AI tools (Copilot, ChatGPT or similar)

Interest in financial markets Basic knowledge of: Bloomberg or financial databases and programming languages such as Python or SQL (not mandatory).
