Department 469, Arrangements Design, is dedicated to providing a high quality overall design for equipment located throughout the ship for their customers by serving as the center of excellence for the overall design of numerous classes of submarines and special programs while fulfilling the Electric Boat and customer requirements & expectations. We ensure the location of equipment will meet all technical, operational, maintenance, sustainability, human engineering design, and safety requirements. Additionally, we create future submarine concepts, locate stowage and lockers for on board repair parts and items need for the sailors to complete their missions, locate lights, provide illumination studies, create flow paths and removal studies, performing roles as system integrators for several classes of submarines and special projects. The CAD programs Arrangement Design uses today are CATIA, NX Team Center, and AUTO CAD.
