## Job description

Responsibilities for this Position A/A Administrative Aide US-CT-Groton Job ID: 2026-21229 Type: Full-Time # of Openings: 1 Category: Administrative EB Groton Shipyard Overview General Dynamics Electric Boat, the nation's premier designer and builder of nuclear submarines, is seeking a highly organized and dedicated Administrative Aide to fill a pivotal position within the D403 Technical Services department. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Quality checks of technical documents Distribution of internal and external correspondence Technical manual maintenance and distribution Preparing shipping documentation, packaging, wrapping and labeling heavy boxes (40 lbs.) for shipment verification of technical documents prior to shipping; and filing/record keeping.

The selected candidate will share office responsibilities with a group of Administrative Aides, so a desire to work as part of a team is essential. Cross training of all office functions is required to ensure full coverage of responsibilities. Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook software is essential to be successful in this role.

### Responsibilities

Detail-oriented, methodical and organized A positive attitude and the ability to work well with others - a team player Well-developed verbal and written communication skills Excellent grammar, spelling and proper punctuation abilities Flexibility, adaptability, and a willingness to learn Qualifications Required: High School Diploma or GED 2-5 years of administrative experience Candidate must demonstrate error-free word processing capabilities (45 wpm minimum) Physically able to lift/wrap/move boxes up to 40 lbs. to prepare them for shipping Proper lifting skills and the ability to move boxes using a hand-truck/dolly Preferred: 3-5 years in an administrative role, particularly within a technical, quality control, or document management environment.

Experience with document quality checks or similar tasks that require a high level of accuracy Prior experience in a role that involved physical demands, such as handling and packaging heavy boxes. PI287978013
