### Mechanical Draftsman Job Description

There is presently a great need for a highly-motivated Mechanical Draftsman with the ability to produce design deliverables from design sketches, layouts and/or concepts to support manufacture, assembly and test. We are looking for a candidate with the desire to develop skills through on-the-job experience and continued education to advance in the design profession.

### Responsibilities

Must be willing to work in a collaborative and team environment. Must possess strong attention to detail and problem solving skills. Must possess strong computer skills and excellent interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of Microsoft products
- Ability to perform design related math functions
- Ability to read and interpret written instructions and drawings (blueprints) Firm understanding of Design Standards, Manufacturing
- Processes and Military Specifications including GD&T Qualifications Required: High School diploma/GED or Vocational
- High School diploma 2-6 years of design experience Experience reading and interpreting blueprints drawings
- Demonstrated proficiency in drafting (portfolio) with Computer Aided Design (CAD) is required (NX preferred)

### Preferred

Two year Technical School/College Experience with mechanical systems Experience withCATIA and/or NX Experience in Design for Six Sigma, Lean Design/Manufacturing PI288092459
