Impact of the Role General Profile Requires working knowledge and skills to perform a defined set of analytical scientific or operational processes - Applies experience and skills to complete assigned work within own area of expertise - Works within standard operating procedures and/or scientific methods - Works with a moderate degree of supervision - Performs manual tasks according to established procedures ### Essential Functions Provides technical support to engineers during the design of manufacturing processes for a production facility. Assists in the development of layouts or floor plans, conducts tests and troubleshoots equipment. Documents test procedures and results. Solves routine technical problems. ### Required Qualifications Required education and experience: Vocational/Technical Training Degree and 2-5 years' experience OR Equivalent Combination of Relevant Education &/or Experience ### Preferred Qualifications Preferred education and experience: Associate's Degree Discipline/Major: Technical training preferred Knowledge, skills & abilities: Oral and written communication skills. Ability to meet deadlines. Detail oriented. Problem-solving skills. Engineering support. Manufacturing engineering. Test execution. Test documentation. Physical Requirements Requires regular movement throughout GD-OTS facilities. Must be able to lift up to 45 pounds. May need to stand for long periods of time. Work may require employee to work inside and outside with exposure to changing climate and/or operate machinery. May be requested to work a different shift.
