As a Lead Mechanical Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in the design, analysis, and optimization of components across our gas power portfolio. You will collaborate with cross-functional, global teams to deliver high-quality solutions, drive product upgrades, and ensure our designs meet rigorous performance and safety standards. This role requires a balance of technical ownership, innovative problem-solving, and a commitment to continuous improvement. Key Responsibilities: Design & Analysis: Execute mechanical design and analysis (stress, modal, lifing) for assigned components in gas turbines, steam, generators, and accessory systems. ### Technical Stewardship Take ownership of mechanical hardware; perform validation testing; and evaluate designs for factors like thermal growth, manufacturing variation, and assembly stack-up to ensure optimal product behavior. ### Cross-Functional Collaboration Partner with engineering experts, manufacturing, and sourcing teams to optimize sub-systems and components. ### Continuous Improvement Lead root cause analyses (RCA) to improve reliability, quality, and yield. Apply Lean principles to streamline processes and drive innovation. ### Project Delivery Manage milestones through formal/informal technical reviews, ensuring compliance with NPI processes and design practices. ### Mentorship Foster a collaborative environment by coaching team members and building strong relationships with key stakeholders, including Principal and Chief Engineers. ### What You’ll Bring - Basic Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related STEM field from an accredited institution. Minimum of 4 years of relevant engineering experience. What Will Make You Stand Out - Desired Qualifications: Additional 1-2 years of relevant engineering experience Advanced degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline. Technical proficiency in engineering software (ANSYS, NX) and programming languages (Python, Excel VBA) for data analysis. A "Lean" mindset, familiarity with AI-driven tools, and a passion for innovative design. Demonstrated ability to thrive in a collaborative, inclusive, and fast-paced environment. Strong communication skills, with a transparent approach to project management and problem-solving. This role requires access to U.S. export-controlled information. The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set. ### Bonus eligibility discretionary annual bonus.
