[Apply on GE Vernova’s careers site →](https://gevernova.wd5.myworkdayjobs.com/Vernova_ExternalSite/job/Bengaluru/Lead-Engineer---ITR-Core-Gas-Upgrades_R5053437-3) [OpenNash Jobs](https://jobs.opennash.com/) / [GE Vernova](https://jobs.opennash.com/companies/ge-vernova/) / Lead Engineer - ITR Core Gas Upgrades ## Job description ### Job Description Summary The Gas Turbine Inquiry to Remittance (ITR) Engineer within Gas Power business is an Engineering position which leads many aspects of technical support across the spectrum of ITO and OTR to help commercialize and flawlessly execute customer solutions The candidate will work closely with cross functional Engineering teams, Commercial and PMO to achieve critical business and project targets Roles and Responsibilities Responsible for defining the best Gas Turbine upgrade solutions, auxiliaries, and control systems to fulfill customer technical needs during the ITO phase of a transaction on-time to the customer proposal need dates - Own and manage project and technical coordination for conversions, modifications & upgrades (CM&U), on in-service ### Gas Turbine Power - Trains and their BOP Mechanical/Electrical systems. Responsible to provide wing to wing technical support for proposals and projects from inquiry to remittance (ITR). Responsible for driving cost of quality reductions resulting from the fulfillment of CM&U opportunities Maintain an active role in developing and improving processes and analytical tools Effectively communicate project solutions to internal and external GE customers. Represent the organization in user conferences, customer clarification meetings, and other industry communications Possess a strong understanding of relevant markets and customer economic value that aid winning bid strategies. Possess a strong working knowledge of competition and the factors that differentiates GE in the market. Demonstrate autonomy to make decisions within a defined framework and lead other Individual Contributors Resolve issues in situations that require good technical knowledge and judgment within established procedures Work collaboratively with partnering teams, e.g. Sales, Commercial Operations, Product Line, Engineering, Sourcing, Quality, and Field Service and Project Management Office for issues outside of defined instructions/parameters to build winning solutions for our customers Exhibit GE Leadership Behaviours of acting with humility, leading with transparency, and delivering with focus Demonstrate accountability for functional and business objectives. Champion LEAN principles and embrace LEAN. Continuously challenge and improve internal processes in ARES ITR organization, employee Lean principles like PSR, process maturity models and Kaizens to improve the KPIs. Lead the global initiatives starting from concept phase and provide guidance to develop, implement, monitor and enhance the KPIs. ### Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in engineering from an accredited university or college. 8+ years experience in engineering or field experience on gas turbines (stong GT experience expected) Willingness to travel domestically and internationally, as needed Desired Characteristics: Self-starter with energy and positive attitude and legacy of delivering on commitments in a fast-paced dynamics environment Continuous improvement “mindset” with an ability to identify, influence, and implement better ways to do an activity or process Field experience on GE Heavy Duty Gas Turbines. Systems thinker - Able to understand, adapt and anticipate the relationships of major equipment inside a combined cycle power plant. Ability to work in a dynamic environment with a wide variety of organizations and individuals in global locations.
