If you enjoy solving problems and working with purpose, Gallagher is the place where you can grow and feel a sense of belonging. ### Overview We are seeking a hands-on Forward Deployed Engineer to lead and continuously improve our AI-enabled software development lifecycle. This role will embed with application and business teams to establish context engineering and apply AI across the full SDLC. ### How you'll make an impact Responsibilities Define and continuously enhance the organization’s AI-enabled SDLC. Establish context-engineering standards for existing applications. Structure business processes, requirements, source code, architecture, data, integrations, and operational knowledge for effective AI use. Embed with application teams to identify opportunities and implement practical AI-assisted solutions. Build AI agents, retrieval solutions, engineering workflows, evaluations, and automation. Integrate AI with repositories, documentation, testing, work-management, and CI/CD platforms. Measure improvements in delivery speed, software quality, testing, and developer experience. Evaluate emerging AI technologies and scale effective practices across teams. About you Strong enterprise software engineering and production delivery experience (minimum 7 years). Hands-on experience with generative AI, agentic AI, retrieval, context engineering, and evaluation. Proficiency in Python, C#, Java, JavaScript, TypeScript, or a comparable language. Experience integrating AI with applications, APIs, repositories, and enterprise data. Ability to quickly understand unfamiliar applications and business processes. Strong business acumen with the ability to engage non-IT stakeholders. Exceptional communicator who can clearly establish and drive adoption of standards.
