As part of the legendary Jaguar brand, our team is dedicated to pioneering advancements in electric vehicle technology, sustainability, and performance. With a rich heritage in racing and a commitment to pushing the boundaries of electric mobility, Jaguar TCS Racing combines passion, expertise, and cutting-edge technology to compete at the highest levels of motorsport. We operate a 12-month (September 2026 - August 2027) student placement programme within our Formula E Design Office. This is an exciting opportunity where you will work with highly skilled and experienced engineering professionals and graduates who you can learn and develop with - the more questions you ask the more you will gain from your experience. It is important to know that many of our industrial placements have been successful in obtaining graduate roles on completion of their degree. To be eligible for an industrial placement within our Formula E Design Office us you should be working towards a degree in Mathematics, Mechanical, Aerospace, Automotive or Motor Sport Engineering. An understanding of vehicle dynamics, CAD design, particularly Siemens NX and programming would be advantageous. What you will do During the Formula E Design Office placement, you will take on responsibilities such as: Design of various components, both mechanical and composite, including car components and prototype and test equipment. Possible requirement for attendance at various on-site test events such as chassis or component testing. Possible requirement for attendance at a track test day or two during pre-season testing for the season(s) Submitting your application When applying for industrial placements opportunities, all students are expected to submit a covering letter along with a Curriculum Vitae containing the following information: - Your current career aims and how you plan to achieve them. - Subjects that you are currently taking and plan to take. - Relevant leisure pursuits and activities. - Why work experience would be beneficial to you. Next Steps Those students that are shortlisted will be invited to attend an assessment. It is expected that the student takes sole responsibility for making suitable travel and accommodation arrangements.
