Overview First Citizens Bank offers an exciting summer internship program that provides development opportunities and hands on work experience while creating a talent pipeline for the Bank. Our interns will apply classroom knowledge in a corporate environment while making a positive impact across the organization and the communities we serve. FCB’s Asset Based Lending Group is an established middle market banking franchise focused on providing working capital (primarily revolving lines of credit) to companies whose operating profile may not warrant a cash flow structure in the U.S. Internship dates: 5/24/27 - 7/30/27 Responsibilities & Qualifications As an intern, this is an opportunity to work for a top 20 U.S. Bank with significant advancement opportunities both within the department and other functional areas of First Citizen’s Commercial Bank. Have a dedicated manager and program manager to help you navigate the bank and the internship program. Ability to function independently and as part of a small deal team. Demonstrate analytical and quantitative skills. Prepare a wrap-up presentation to be shared with the division leader and other key stakeholders in the company to outline their accomplishments and experience during the internship. Position Specific Skills: Partnerships and Collaboration Communication (Written and Verbal) Critical thinking skills Basic Qualifications: * High School Diploma or GED and 1 year of experience * Currently enrolled at an accredited collegiate institution (during the time of the summer program) * Ability to work 40 hours per week during the duration of the program Preferred Qualifications: * 3.0 minimum GPA * Completed at least 2 accounting courses at the college level * Strong desire to learn and grow * Possess a positive attitude, naturally curious and enjoys collaborating with others * Strong verbal and written communication skills * Critical thinking skills * Ability to multitask * Ability to adapt and adjust priorities based on business needs * Ability to take direction and absorb information quickly Additional Information If hired in NY, the base pay for this position is generally between $22.44 and $26.40. Actual starting base pay will be determined based on skills, experience, location, and other non-discriminatory factors permitted by law. For some roles, total compensation may also include variable incentives, bonuses, benefits, and/or other awards as outlined in the offer of employment.
