Under general supervision, Essential Functions Responsible for moderately complex accounting activities supporting the accurate and timely closing of the general ledger. Prepare and post journal entries, account reconciliations, fixed asset processing, lease/contract review, accrual entries, and/or budget variance reviews. Research and analysis of assigned large elements of revenue and expense and the related internal reporting. Ensure assigned general ledger account balances are materially correct in compliance with internal controls and GAAP and that internal control risks are tested and documented in accordance with Sarbanes-Oxley. Coordinate and communicate with business partners providing guidance regarding accounting policies and procedures. Perform other duties as assigned. ### Minimum Education Bachelor's Degree in accounting, finance or other related quantitative discipline is required. Related experience may offset degree requirements and related education/degree may offset experience requirements. ### Minimum Experience Two (2) years experience in accounting for financial reporting in a public accounting firm or in a large for-profit corporate environment. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Strong analytical and financial analysis skills required. Working knowledge of GAAP standards required. Proficient in business software, spreadsheet applications and/or mainframe or web-based applications. Strong interpersonal verbal and written communication skills. ### Job Conditions None Preferred Qualifications This role provides essential support for the monthly close process, including preparation of journal entries, account analysis, and timely financial reporting. In addition, the position is responsible for performing and reviewing balance sheet reviewing balance sheet reconciliations to ensure accuracy, compliance, and a strong internal control environment. ### Pay Transparency Pay: Additional Details: This is a hybrid position located in Collierville, TN. Candidates must live within 50 miles of the campus location. Employees will be required to work at the FedEx campus location several times per week. This position is not eligible for relocation.
