Applicants requiring visa sponsorship to start employment with Eversource will not be considered. ### POSITION Gas Service Technician Trainee DEPARTMENT: Gas Meter Service LOCATION: Brockton, MA CURRENTLY POSTED HOURS: Rotating Shifts - Union Represented Position ### ROLE & SCOPE - The Gas Service Technician is responsible for installing, repairing and maintaining gas meters, regulators, gas lines and gas appliances. Testing for gas leaks. Working on boilers, ovens, gas fireplaces, gas-fired refrigerators, hydronic heating systems, and related. Installing and connecting appliances to gas, water, and electrical supplies. ### QUALIFICATIONS - Must pass the EEI CAST Test. - This position will require the satisfactory completion of a written mathematical test. - Qualified applicants must pass a pre-employment/pre-placement drug test in accordance with D.O.T regulations. - Must possess a valid Driver's License and maintain a clean driving record. - High School Diploma or GED required. Vocational, mechanical, or plumbing training is highly preferred - Ability to work independently and outdoors in all types of varying weather conditions. Must be physically capable of walking long distances while carrying gas equipment/tools. - Must have 2 years of related mechanical experience, gas utility experience preferred. 9.
