[Apply on Emerson Electric’s careers site →](https://hdjq.fa.us2.oraclecloud.com/hcmUI/CandidateExperience/en/sites/CX_1/job/26006408) [OpenNash Jobs](https://jobs.opennash.com/) / [Emerson Electric](https://jobs.opennash.com/companies/emerson-electric/) / Welder 1st shift ## Job description In this Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be: Adjust welder settings based on metallurgical properties of metal used in blueprint to ensure quality welds - Work from blueprints, to set up and weld parts using appropriate fixtures - Operate hand grinders as needed Visually inspect work and fixturing on an on-going basis to check quality standards and the appearance of the product High School Diploma, GED, or demonstrated ability to read, write, and perform mathematical calculations at a high school level - Ability to stand for extended periods of time and lift up to 70lbs - Ability to do other duties as assigned 1-year experience MIG Welding in Production setting - Ability to read and follow welding symbols on blueprints - Ability to communicate effectively and work in a cooperative manner to support a team environment For This Role, You Will Need: High School Diploma, GED, or demonstrated ability to read, write, and perform mathematical calculations at a high school level - Ability to communicate effectively and work in a cooperative manner to support a team environment WORKING CONDITIONS: Typical shop floor with possible exposure to dirt, dust, fumes, heat, cold, noise, vibration, oil and water.
