We offer a unique combination of government experience and facilities expertise that has helped us earn a position as one of the country’s leading integrated service providers. ### Job Summary Job Summary: EMCOR Government Services has an opening for a Maintenance Mechanic in Washington, DCThis position is covered by the CBA for Local 99. #egs #LI-JC1 ### Essential Duties & Responsibilities Responsible for performing efficient operation, maintenance, and repair of all building systems. Building systems include HVAC, water treatment, electrical, lighting, plumbing, energy management, fire protection, structural, hardware. Develops skills in installing, fabrication, constructing, troubleshooting, and repairing complex mechanical and electrical equipment. Receives work assignments, plans work to be performed, and obtains necessary tools, equipment and materials. Completes paperwork in a timely manner. Demonstrates knowledge of equipment and employs service procedures and techniques. Possesses knowledge of safe and efficient operation of all equipment, power and hand tools. Responsible for the care of assigned equipment and tools. Responsible for keeping shop, equipment rooms, related mechanical areas and common areas clean, organized and safe. Inspects all areas of the building(s) and reports deficiencies as well as suggestions for improvement Project a positive appearance and attitude always. Demonstrate exemplary tenant relations, team spirit, and respect of others. Serve on various shifts and to occasionally work extended hours, nights, weekends, and holidays to ensure adequate building coverage and perform necessary repairs. Other duties as assigned. ### Qualifications Qualifications: High School Diploma and 4 years of building maintenance experience. Employee is responsible for complying with all life safety and OSHA requirements. Must have a CFC Universal. Must be able to acquire a GSA Public Trust Clearance (HSPD-12) ### Physical Demands Physical Demands The work requires the ability to lift and carry minimum of 50 lbs. to heavy items; to walk, climb stairs and able to work on ladders over 12 feet in length, bend and crouch, and to reach and pull to work on equipment; and to use hands, arms and legs in using the tools and materials of the trade.
