This collaborative environment delivers FRESH THINKING, reassuring our customers that they choose the best when they choose to work with the people of Dover Food Retail. ### Job Title Technician III – Industrial Mechanical Location: Richmond, VA What we are looking for: A Technician III – Industrial Mechanical will have experience in a manufacturing environment installing, repairing, and maintaining machinery and equipment, as well as the physical structure of an industrial facility. ### Essential Competencies - Observe and inspect our machinery and facility and to make recommendations for changes in procedures and structures. - Install, maintain, inspect, and initiate repairs and correction of machinery and equipment. - Install and repair electrical apparatus such as transformers, electrical and electronic components of automated machinery. - Locate parts and prices to effect repairs, complete required forms for purchases. - Use the National Electrical Code, manuals, schematic diagrams, and blueprints to diagnose and repair equipment. - Diagnose and replace faulty mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic components of machinery and associated equipment. - Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair work performed using Fixx work order system. - Keep work area in clean, safe, and orderly manner - Operate forklift or boom lift. ### Other duties as assigned Minimum Quantifiable Competencies - High School Diploma or GED - 4+ years in Industrial Mechanical/Machinist - 4 years or more in machine based Industrial Electrical/Electronics, - Be a self-starter and able to work with minimal supervision. - Ability to operate various Saws, drills, bench tools and hand tools. ### Familiar with work order systems Preferred Competencies - Certification - High School and Trade School or Apprenticeship. ### Essential Physical/Environmental Requirements - While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; and talk or hear. - The employee frequently is required to walk and reach with hands and arms. - The employee is occasionally required to sit and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. - The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. - The employee must be able to work at heights over 100 feet occasionally. - Occasional overtime and extended hours are required. ### Pay Range USD 33.16 - 40.01 Hourly This position is eligible to earn commissions based on performance metrics and other criteria outlined in our applicable commissions plan.
