[Apply on Deutsche Post’s careers site →](https://careers.dhl.com/global/en/job/DPDHGLOBAL11140986ENGLOBALEXTERNALTALENTREEF/Operations-Assistant) [OpenNash Jobs](https://jobs.opennash.com/) / [Deutsche Post](https://jobs.opennash.com/companies/deutsche-post/) / Operations Assistant ## Job description This req is for Operations Assistant on the Weekend Night Shift Position: Operations Assistant Shift: Weekend Nights Shift Schedule: Thursday 4p-2:30am, Friday-Sunday 5:00pm-5:00am Pay: $18.95 + $2 shift differential Core Duties: Count all inbound product, compare to manifest, and check all shipments for damage, infestation, and production code dates before product is stored. - Report shortages, damages, and mis-shipments on appropriate forms and forward to appropriate party. - Sign for inbound shipments or accept signature for outbound merchandise due to a special request. - Check contents of outbound freight as filled and assembled by warehouse personnel. - Compare the quantity, quality, labeling, and address with customer’s order to ensure outgoing shipments are complete and correct. - Safely and effectively operate forklift or any other materials handling equipment as required and assist in the loading or unloading of merchandise moving into or out of the warehouse as needed. - Maintain a clean, neat and orderly work area. - Assist in maintaining the security of the warehouse and conduct operations in a manner that promotes safety. - Participate in physical inventories. - Perform additional duties as assigned. Shape your world. ### Role Purpose Responsible for ensuring that shipping and receiving documents and functions are completed accurately and on time. Works with warehouse personnel to ensure proper receipt, stocking and shipment of product. Assist with inventory control. ### Key Accountabilities Ensure the distribution of timely and accurate information and receiving forms to appropriate personnel. Ensure the hand-held terminals are maintained and fully charged, ready to update and download in a timely manner (RF environment). Ensure that all receiving data entry is completed on time to allow picking documentation to be prepared. Prepare and sort all picking documentation as per the operating procedure. Prepare all shipping documents and ensure that changes made at out-loading are accurately indicated on drivers’ packing lists. Ensure that all stock is updated and on time.
