[Apply on Delta Air Lines’s careers site →](https://delta.avature.net/en_US/careers/JobDetail/it-field-engineer-fra/33910?jobId=33910) [OpenNash Jobs](https://jobs.opennash.com/) / [Delta Air Lines](https://jobs.opennash.com/companies/delta-air-lines/) / IT Field Engineer - FRA ## Job description How you'll help us Keep Climbing (overview & key responsibilities) Responsible for a broad scope of operational support and install, move, add, and change (IMAC) requests supporting the IT infrastructure in office environments, reservation centers, and airport locations. ### EssentialResponsibilities - Responsible forimplementation and support of desktop devices, applications, peripherals, telephonesystems, network devices, airline specific equipment (Kiosk, FlightInformation Display Systems, Ramp Information Display Systems) andmultiple server platforms. - Perform, asspecified in the Service Request, the physical relocation of any ITinfrastructure devices (PC workstations, peripheral devices, phones,network routers, airport devices, etc.). - Perform upgradeservices (adding to or changing a workgroup computer, workgroupperipheral, or software) as specified in the Service Request. - Verify the assetin accordance with Delta policy prior to the move. - Update assetmanagement systems. - Troubleshoot andresolve all hardware and software problems supported by Field Operations. - Communicate withthe Field Planning and Project Management organization. Duties may includeresearch, providing input into work orders, and occasional assistance withsite surveys. - Performpreventative maintenance on operational devices. - Coordinateexternal vendor services. - Install,customize, maintain, test, and troubleshoot operating systems and othersystems software - Provide on-sitesupport, as needed. - Providetechnical support, as needed, to the enterprise. - Configure,install, maintain, test, and troubleshoot hardware systems - Perform rootcause analysis to quickly recover from service interruptions, and toprevent recurring problems. - Implementchanges to platforms with minimal impact to the business by followingenterprise standards and procedures. - Coordinateactivities with internal/external technology owners/service providers - May performother duties as assigned. What you need to succeed (minimum qualifications) - BasicNetwork/server and application knowledge (MS Office 365, Outlook,etc.). - Troubleshootingskills (hardware/software) and WIN11 workstation and peripheral knowledge.The ideal candidate will have the above plus A+ Certification. Must beable to move, on a regular basis, large equipment that weighs at least 30pounds/ 15 KG - Ability toprovide on-site support, as needed. - Must have validdriver’s license. - Previous airlineexperience is ideal. - Ability to workwithin a team environment. - May requireovernight travel and OnCall support - Fluency inwritten and spoken German and English is mandatory. - Must be inpossession of valid documentation to live and work in GERMANY at the timeof applying to this position. Is tolerant with people andprocesses, tries to understand the people and the data before makingjudgments and acting, sensitive to due process and properapproaches. - Problem Solving- Uses rigorous logic and methods to solve difficult problems witheffective solutions, probes all fruitful sources for answers, can seehidden problems, is excellent at honest analysis, looks beyond the obviousand doesn’t stop at the first answer. - Task Management- Delivers quality work on time, translates planning into action byfollowing applicable established procedures or methodologies, proactivelymonitors and controls task status by collecting and analyzing task data toanticipate and address barriers, appropriately communicates, and resolvesor escalates any problems that arise.
