[Apply on Delta Air Lines’s careers site →](https://delta.avature.net/en_US/careers/JobDetail/junior-flight-simulator-technician/34020?jobId=34020) [OpenNash Jobs](https://jobs.opennash.com/) / [Delta Air Lines](https://jobs.opennash.com/companies/delta-air-lines/) / Junior Flight Simulator Technician ## Job description How you'll help us Keep Climbing (overview & key responsibilities) The Junior Flight Simulator Technician performs entry level maintenance functions on Full Flight Simulators, Flight Training Devices, Cockpit Procedure Trainers, and associated support devices to support meeting pilot training, maintenance training, and FAA regulatory requirements. ### Summary of responsibilities (not comprehensive of all tasks) - Troubleshoots identified discrepancies on electronics, computers, computernetworks, hydraulics, visual, pneumatics, and mechanical systems. - Installs, replaces, cleans, repairs, and services various equipmentincluding visual generation/display systems, computers, computer networks,motion systems, electronic circuit boards, and circuits. - Maintains PC, Motorola, IBM, and various other host and satellitecomputers and networks. - Performs periodic maintenance and diagnostics on computer and peripheralequipment. - Operates and maintains electronic test equipment. - Accomplishes software archiving functions. - Possesses a general knowledge of Aircraft systems and their operation. - Practices safety conscious behaviors in all processes and procedures. What you need to succeed (minimum qualifications) - Requires the ability to read and interpret electronic/electricaldrawings, schematics, and logic diagrams. - Requires experience in operation of electronic test equipment in orderto identify malfunctioning systems. - Requires the ability to troubleshoot electronic circuits, computers,computer networks, visual generation/display systems, hydraulic systems,input/output systems, pneumatics, mechanical, and flight instrumentation. - Requires a general knowledge of aerodynamics and of commercial cockpitinstrumentation and their relationship to the principles of flight. - Requires the physical ability to climb and work from platforms andladders and lift 50 lbs. - Required to furnish personal tools as prescribed by Delta. - Possesses a high school diploma,GED, or high school equivalency. - Is at least 18 years of age and hasauthorization to work in the United States. - Consistently prioritizes safety andsecurity of self, others, and personal data.
