Working at the cutting edge, we design and develop software that runs in a cloud-based manufacturing environment across Dells global manufacturing sites, delivering product diagnostic testing, customer software provisioning as well as customer configuration verification prior to shipping to customer sites — all with the most advanced technologies, tools, software engineering methodologies and the collaboration of internal and external partners. ### What you’ll achieve As a Software Principal Engineer, you will develop advanced modules, optimize performance, and contribute to architectural choices. You will collaborate across teams to deliver robust, secure solutions. Join us to do the best work of your career and make a profound social impact as a Software Principal Engineer on our Global Test Engineering Software Engineering team in Franklin Massachusetts. ## Responsibilities You will: Be responsible for designing and developing sophisticated manufacturing software solutions based on Dells manufacturing and product team requirements and business goals. Work hands on with Dells portfolio of new products includ ing rack-scale AI inf rastructure solutions, through close collaboration with Dells product engineering teams. Contribute to architectural decisions and integration patterns as well as performing code reviews and upholding quality/cohesion. Work on a highly motivated agile software development team with an emphasis on innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement. ## Qualifications ### Essential Requirements 8+ years of related experience Advanced coding and debugging in core languages/frameworks (eg. Python). Ability to deliver high-quality solutions that meet Dell’s manufacturing specifications. Demonstrates enthusiasm, initiative, and a hands-on approach, with the ability to rapidly acquire new skills and thrive in a fast-paced environment. Desirable Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field Experience in troubleshooting system level architectures (Software/hardware/Network/FW). ### Compensation Dell is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices.
