[Apply on DaVita’s careers site →](https://careers.davita.com/job/DAVIUSR0466435WORKDAY/Patient-Care-Technician) [OpenNash Jobs](https://jobs.opennash.com/) / [DaVita](https://jobs.opennash.com/companies/davita/) / Patient Care Technician ## Job description Posting Date 08/11/2026 180 E Carmel Drive, Carmel, Indiana, 46032, United States of America DaVita is seeking a Patient Care Technician who is looking to make an exceptional difference in the lives of our patients and their families dealing with end-stage renal failure or chronic kidney disease. ### Some details about this position - No Dialysis experience is required - health care experience is strongly preferred. - 9-10 week training program - training may take place in a facility or a training clinic other than your assigned home clinic. - Potential to float to various clinics - You must have a flexible schedule and be able to work mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays - shift times will start as early as 4:00AM. ### Direct Patient Care - Spend the majority of your day in direct one-on-one patient care to provide safe, comfortable and hygienic dialysis treatment. Educate patient on kidney disease. ### Technician Duties - To monitor patients before, during and after dialysis treatment including measuring and recording stats, patient observations, and hemodialysis machine setup. Please note you will have exposure to blood and needles. - Working on a cross functional team of clinicians including technicians, nurses, dietitians, social workers and leadership. PCTs work under the supervision of a RN. Training is a mix of classroom and hands-on training. - Reimbursement for your Certified Hemodialysis Technician (CHT) license Requirements: - High school diploma or equivalent required. - Must be comfortable working around blood and needles and mixing acid or bicarb - Must be comfortable working 8-12 hour shifts, 3-4 days per week, flexible in schedule ### Health care experience a plus including - BONENT Certified, Certified Hemodialysis Technician (CHT), Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), Certified Medical Assistant (CMA), or Phlebotomy certification.
