This is a resident mine site technician role at Meandu mine site (Near Kingaroy QLD). In this role, you will act as technical specialist and regular customer support contact to diagnose and complete repairs to Cummins products at Meandu Mine Site. You will make an impact in the following ways: - You will be required to keep the Cummins powered fleet running to perform optimum efficiency and reduce down time costs. - Communication between Cummins Toowoomba and site will be critical in reporting any faults or improvements within the Cummins powered fleet. - Engages customers in a courteous and professional manner. Anticipates and ensures prompt and efficient attention to customer needs - Applies the use of specialized tools and follows documented procedures and policies to diagnose and complete less complex repairs, including identifying and preparing required parts and tools - Coaches on preventative maintenance activities and basic repairs completed by customer employees - Escalates unresolved issues to more experienced On Site Technicians and/or Supervisor - Completes required documentation, such as service worksheets, timesheets, warranty claims, quality documents via handwritten forms or business system input screens. - Completes training in line with skill and business requirements - Maintains work area and tools for cleanliness and proper operation - Ensure adherence to all relevant Health Safety & Environmental policies, procedures and legislation and reports any issues / incidents to site management and to their supervisor ### Additional Information - This role has a 7on / 7off roster, 12 hours per shift. - Day shift only - You will need a locally valid driving permit - Reporting to the Cummins Toowoomba Manager - You will be provided with Cummins laptop and phone also Cummins training both on line and classroom based training. _The ideal candidate lives locally near Meandu Mine._ Experience: - Apprentice Trained Engine Technician (Cert III or equivelant) - You will need basic level field service work experience - You will need intermediate level knowledge of and/or experience with High Horsepower engine products - Cummins High Horse Power experience is preferred. - You must have the ability to work autonomously and follow all safety procedures. - We are looking for a can-do attitude that is willing to support Cummins and site requirements in maintaining the fleet of Haul trucks, Diggers and all auxiliary equipment. ### Manages Complexity - Diagnoses faults using structured troubleshooting processes, service tools, and technical information to achieve effective repairs. ### Electronic Service Tool Application - Utilises electronic service tools to diagnose issues, interpret results, and determine appropriate repair actions. ### Engine Systems Interactions - Applies knowledge of engine and related systems to accurately diagnose and resolve mechanical and electrical issues. ### Product Repair and Maintenance - Performs quality repairs and preventative maintenance in line with technical standards and customer expectations. ### Service Documentation - Accurately records service activities, technical findings, and repair outcomes in business systems. ### Technical Escalation - Escalates complex technical issues effectively while maintaining thorough documentation and timely resolution. ### Values Differences -
