In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways: ### Quality Workmanship - Applying high standards of workmanship and craftsmanship ensures the quality and reliability of the work performed. ### Continuous Improvement - Actively participating in continuous improvement activities and TPM teams helps improve quality, safety, processes, and material flow. ### Ensure Safety - By stopping work and reporting any major injury hazards immediately, you help maintain a safe working environment. ### Compliance and Reporting - Reporting any work-related injuries, illnesses, incidents, or hazards ensures compliance with HSE standards and promotes a culture of safety. To be successful in this role you will need the following: - Drives results - Consistently achieving results, even under tough circumstances. - Action oriented - Taking on new opportunities and tough challenges with a sense of urgency, high energy, and enthusiasm. - Collaboration - Building partnerships and working collaboratively with others to meet shared objectives. ### Health and Safety Fundamentals - Champion proactive health and safety behaviors by identifying, reporting, and participating in actions to improve health and safety. This will contribute to a safer workplace and an injury-free environment. ### Controls Safety - Recognize and address hazards related to electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic controls in a manufacturing environment. This will help you incorporate safe practices and reduce injuries. ### Manufacturing Knowledge - Demonstrate your understanding of manufacturing processes by implementing changes to meet functional needs and contribute to continuous improvement. This will enhance operational efficiency. - Applicants must have good communication skills and be self-starter. ### Education - For the Fletcher SHOP STW program, current students attending BlueRidge Community College and are enrolled in a Welding or related program are highly encouraged to apply. - This is an onsite position. Work schedule can vary as needed to accommodate the student's regular school schedule. ### Experience - Request that successful candidate work a routine schedule up to the STW limit of up to 40 hours per week.
