You will make an impact in the following ways: - Complete repairs on engine products in a service shop - Perform maintenance/repairs utilizing diagnostic tools - Maintain detailed records of serviced vehicles - Adhere to Cummins Health, Safety & Environmental policies - Ongoing development/certifications on new and existing Cummins products - Maintain own tools To be successful in this role you will need the following: - Completes complex internal engine repairs - Performs complex unassisted engine overhauls - Ability to troubleshoot with limited/no support from diagnostic tools - Detailed understanding of the aftertreatment system and components - Mentor junior technicians including technical support and documentation ### Compensation and Benefits Base salary rate commensurate with experience. Additional benefits vary between locations and include options such as our 401(k) Retirement Savings Plan, Cash Balance Pension Plan, Medical/Dental/Life Insurance, Health Savings Account, Domestic Partners Coverage and a full complement of personal and professional benefits. ### Education, Licenses, Certifications Apprentice Trained Engine Technician (Preferred) Vocational diploma from relevant technical institution Locally valid driving permit (Preferred) This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations. ### Experience Advanced level knowledge of and/or experience with engine products Experience providing technical advice and coaching to more junior technicians (preferred) Valid NYS drivers license required with no restrictions. This position is subject to Federal Transit Administration random and pre-employment drug testing requirements. This roll will be subject to on-going random drug and alcohol testing.
