This role will primarily focus on tax accounting and federal compliance, while also supporting state tax, international reporting, and audit activities. The position will play a key role in ensuring accurate, audit-ready reporting, strong coordination with internal stakeholders, and effective collaboration with external advisors. Located in Columbus, IN. In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways: - Review federal tax provision schedules, supporting workpapers, and book-to-tax adjustments - Support preparation and review of quarterly and annual tax provisions, including variance analysis and effective tax rate (ETR) drivers - Assist with review of federal income tax returns and supporting workpapers, ensuring accuracy and completeness - Coordinate data collection and information requests from Finance, Legal, Treasury, HR, external advisors, and other stakeholders to support tax accounting and compliance activities. - Research and interpret tax laws, regulations, and administrative guidance to support tax positions, compliance obligations, and reporting requirements - Assist with preparation and documentation of the U.S. R&D tax credit and support evaluation of additional tax credit opportunities - Support state tax compliance and provision processes, including estimated payments and apportionment - Assist with audit responses, IDRs, and documentation requests - Assist with international compliance filings and related documentation - Support preparation of items such as tax residency certificates and information reporting - Support process improvement, automation, and standardization initiatives that enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the tax function.
