This is a high-impact role where your expertise will shape strategic land decisions and directly influence the development of our assets across the Permian Basin. As a key member of a multidisciplinary team, you’ll collaborate with engineering, geology, legal, regulatory, and surface land professionals to unlock value and drive responsible growth. This position offers the opportunity to lead complex negotiations, manage high-value contracts, and represent ConocoPhillips in interactions with landowners, government agencies, and industry partners. If you’re a skilled communicator, strategic thinker, and passionate about land management in the energy sector, we invite you to bring your experience to a company that values integrity, innovation, and long-term career development. ### Key Responsibilities Lead negotiations for strategic acquisitions, trades, and divestitures of undeveloped and developed leasehold. Draft, review, and manage complex oil and gas agreements to ensure accuracy and compliance with legal, ethical, and corporate standards. Collaborate with legal counsel and land brokers to clear title for drilling and division order purposes. Maintain and monitor oil and gas contracts to ensure alignment with corporate policies and industry regulations. Prepare and submit filings to state and federal agencies, including Communitization Agreements, Plans of Development, and location exceptions. Represent ConocoPhillips in external engagements with operators, co-owners, landowners, and government entities. Provide strategic land recommendations to leadership, anticipating challenges and offering proactive solutions. Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent. 3 or more years of land negotiation experience in the oil and gas industry. 1 or more years of in-house land negotiation experience. Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Teams, Word). ### Preferred Requirements Experience with land management software (e.g., Quorum, ArcGIS, Enverus). Background in project planning, acquisition economics, and commercial deal structures. Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to mentor and share knowledge. Demonstrated initiative, adaptability, and results-driven mindset. Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
