FreeWheel is looking for a Sr Manager, Software Engineering to join our Buyercloud (formerly Beeswax) Ad Serving team. The Ad Serving system is the backbone of the Buyercloud platform. It listens to billions of ad auctions per day, decides which of our hundreds of customers should participate, and executes complex bidding strategies to provide optimal results, in milliseconds ### Job Description Responsibilities: Manage a team of software engineers, providing them with direction, guidance, and opportunities for growth. Collaborate with the BuyerCloud Product Management team to deliver new features to Buyercloud customers. Provide guidance on technical architecture, design philosophies, and engineering practices for your team. Drive improvements to Ad Serving software infrastructure. Ensure adherence to deadlines, specifications, and budgets. Review team members’ work to ensure quality to team standards. Provide technical support and training in Ad Serving capabilities. Implement and review employee performance metrics. Stay abreast of emerging trends and technologies. Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance. Regular, consistent and punctual attendance. Must be able to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) as necessary. Working Conditions The Senior Manager, Software Engineering, must successfully work with team members located in multiple remote locations and time zones. Base pay is one part of the Total Rewards that Comcast provides to compensate and recognize employees for their work. Most sales positions are eligible for a Commission under the terms of an applicable plan, while most non-sales positions are eligible for a Bonus.
