[Apply on Coherent’s careers site →](https://hcwp.fa.us2.oraclecloud.com/hcmUI/CandidateExperience/en/sites/CX_1/job/2015340) [OpenNash Jobs](https://jobs.opennash.com/) / [Coherent](https://jobs.opennash.com/companies/coherent/) / 2nd Shift Optical Test Technician ## Job description ### Primary Duties & Responsibilities 2nd Shift Optical Test Technician Granby, CT, United States ### Primary Duties & Responsibilities - Work per standard operating procedures in Testing Optical Fibers - Document the manufacturing process as required - Perform basic equipment maintenance & calibration - Assist recommending solutions to technical problems - May assist in the selection and set-up of specialized test equipment - Assist engineers as needed - Cross-training in other areas as needed ### Education & Experience - High school diploma or equivalent and 3+ years experience in manufacturing / lab environment Previous experience or practice executing delicate tasks with small, fragile parts - Computer literacy including data entry in Excel - Ability to see details at close range - Excellent hand to eye coordination Safety Requirements All employees are required to follow the site EHS procedures and Coherent Corp. Corporate EHS standards.
