The Tooling Technician is responsible for ensuring tooling meets process expectations. The ideal candidate will have good manual dexterity, be detail-oriented and self-motivated, and thrive in a fast-paced work environment. We offer an excellent compensation and benefits package with career advancement opportunities. ### Summary of Responsibilities Compute dimensions and tolerances to set up machine tools Position, secure, measure and work metal stock or castings to lay out for machining Assemble/disassemble parts to test completed tools, dies, jigs or fixtures for proper operation Directly work with suppliers to print, design, or build situations to ensure tool expectations are met - Analyze manufacturing repairs and adjustments to formulate solutions in standardized situations Other duties as assigned Minimum Qualifications: 5 years of related work experience Trade certification - Ability to read and interpret documents and write routine reports and correspondence - Ability to work independently and in a team environment - Ability to understand and effectively communicate oral and written instructions - Ability to stand for long periods of time/ lift 23 kg (50 lbs) ### Able to work 3-shift model Midnights, Days, Afternoons, and required OT Preferred Qualifications: 5 years of related experience working in a manufacturing environment Emails regarding next steps will come from Bamboo HR - Please Ensure to check your junk mail when applying for jobs Cleveland-Cliffs Inc. is the largest flat-rolled steel company and the largest iron ore pellet producer in North America.
