The Press Operator is responsible for the operation of various tonnage presses and producing quality parts. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in cold stamping, be self-motivated and thrive in a fast-paced work environment. We offer an excellent compensation and benefits package with career advancement opportunities. ### Summary of Responsibilities Operation and knowledge of tonnage presses, decoilers, feeders, conveyors, cranes, and PLC controlled equipment Perform Quick Die Change as per Q.D.C. procedure with minimum supervision - Use various measuring and inspection devices to ensure accuracy and part quality, complete all relevant paperwork - Troubleshoot for poor quality product and report all damages - Utilize lean-manufacturing principles and participate in action workouts to improve process capability, reduce overall costs, and increase capacity - Maintain and improve housekeeping within work area - Meet production targets as set forth by the company Minimum Qualifications: 2 years of machine operations/ work related experience - Ability to stand for long periods of time/ lift 23 kg (50 lbs) - Ability to work independently and in a team environment Able to work flexible shift times Preferred Qualifications: Knowledge of dies, presses, and press controls (start up, shut down, safety devices) Emails regarding next steps will come from Bamboo HR - Please - Ensure to check your junk mail when applying for jobs Cleveland-Cliffs Inc. is the largest flat-rolled steel company and the largest iron ore pellet producer in North America.
