This role combines hands-on framework architecture with technical leadership, driving engineering excellence, and integrating automated testing into our CI/CD pipelines to support rapid, high-quality software delivery. ### Key Responsibilities Automation Strategy & Architecture: Design, build, and maintain scalable, robust, and reusable test automation frameworks (UI, API, and Mobile) from scratch. ### Technical Leadership Lead and mentor a team of QA and automation engineers, establishing coding standards, conducting code reviews, and driving best practices in test engineering. ### CI/CD Integration Collaborate with DevOps and Development teams to integrate automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins/Tekton), establishing automated quality gates for continuous deployment. ### Test Planning & Execution Define test automation roadmaps, estimate automation efforts, and collaborate with product owners to align testing with sprint goals in an Agile environment. ### Metrics & Reporting Establish, track, and report on key quality and automation metrics (e.g., test coverage, execution pass rates, defect leakage) to senior stakeholders. ### Risk & Compliance Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding assets by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules, and regulations. ### Qualifications Experience: 8+ years of experience in software quality engineering, with at least 5 years of hands-on experience in test automation framework development. ### Programming Languages Strong proficiency in at least one object-oriented programming language (e.g., Java, Python, C#) or JavaScript/TypeScript. ### Automation Tools Hands-on expertise with industry-standard automation tools such as Selenium WebDriver, Cypress, Playwright, or Appium. ### API Testing Proven experience in automated API testing using RestAssured, Postman, or Karate. ### DevOps & Tools Solid understanding of CI/CD concepts and tools (Jenkins, Git, Bitbucket, Tekton) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes/OpenShift). ### Database Skills Strong proficiency in writing complex SQL queries for data validation and backend testing. ### Methodology Deep understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies and Behavior-Driven Development (BDD) / Test-Driven Development (TDD) practices. ### Education Bachelor’s/University degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent experience. ------------------------------------------------------ Job Family Group: Technology ------------------------------------------------------ Job Family: Technology Quality ------------------------------------------------------ Time Type: Full time ------------------------------------------------------ Most Relevant Skills Please see the requirements listed above. ------------------------------------------------------ Other Relevant Skills For complementary skills, please see above and/or contact the recruiter. ------------------------------------------------------ Citi is an equal opportunity employer, and qualified candidates will receive consideration without regard to their race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, status as a protected veteran, or any other characteristic protected by law.
