Our eight manufacturing complexes in the United States, Canada, and the United Kingdom, an unparalleled storage, transportation and distribution network in North America, and logistics capabilities enabling a global reach underpin our strategy to leverage our unique capabilities to accelerate the world’s transition to clean energy. ### Function Information Technology Job Summary: Network Administrator III is responsible for providing technical expertise in the management of a public and/or private network; tests and analyzes network facilities, including network control software, routers, switches, lines, modems, adapters and servers. Installs, supports and/or maintains LANs and/or WANs; evaluates and recommends networking product and software upgrades. Performs technical analyses of software, hardware and transmission facilities using various diagnostic tools in support of efficient network operations. Monitors data traffic and controls network resource performance to ensure high-quality transmission. Identifies, diagnoses, and resolves technical problems related to network failure/integrity and usage of PC hardware and software. ### Major Responsibilities Configure, upgrade, and troubleshoot IT infrastructure equipment, applications, and databases for the purpose of maximizing performance, security, and reliability. Examples include physical and virtualized servers, backup systems, phones, radios, site security cameras and access badging, and Active Directory. Support users and user groups on all aspects of user-reported problems, including software, hardware, and peripheral equipment. This level of support requires subject matter expertise across different applications. Manage issues utilizing established tracking processes, including recording issues, initial troubleshooting, assignment and escalation, and closure and follow-up through resolution. Participate in site safety programs, emergency response, and turnaround execution. Provide on-call and after-hours support for site users. Administer and support site server infrastructure and associated services, including physical and virtual servers, operating systems, storage, backup and recovery, identity services, and integrations with manufacturing and operational technology environments. Monitor infrastructure health, capacity, patching, configuration, and lifecycle requirements, coordinating escalation and remediation with internal teams and third-party service providers when necessary. ### Supervisory Relationships Position Reports To Supervisor, Site IT Subordinate Positions: None Incumbent Attributes Education: Bachelor’s degree (Information Technology/Computer Science) or its equivalent in a related field is typically preferred. Network certifications such as Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA), Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP), CompTIA Network+ are desired. ### Years of experience 5+ Years of related professional work experience may be preferred to complete all essential job functions. ### Other unique job relevant attributes Strong foundational knowledge in information technology, including Cisco equipment and Windows servers. Knowledge about software defined networks (SD-WAN) preferred. Knowledge about Microsoft’s Azure cloud / M365 environment preferred. On-call and support outside of business hours may be required. Safety training may be required. ### Position Scope/Contribution Breadth of Scope Scope is within the Enterprise Information, Information Technology, and Operational Technology.
