## Job description

### About the Role

As a CBREAssistant Chief Engineer, you will support the Chief Engineer in managingengineering operations and directingvendors and subcontractors. You will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of building systems, providing technicalguidance, and leading a team to achieve operational excellence.

### What You’ll Do
- Manage shift operations,assign work orders, and provide training to coworkers and subcontractors Reviewmonthly tenant service request summaries to pinpoint and correct recurrentoperational problems
- Develop apreventative maintenance program for machinery andsystems Inspect systems to ensure operational withinnormal parameters Maintain inventory of supplies and tools, ordering necessarymaterials to complete all tasks
- Schedule preventive maintenance and downtime to cutbusiness interruption and inconvenience
- Performrepairs, emergency, and preventative maintenance, completingmaintenance and repair records as required
- Respond timelyto emergency situations, requesting extrahelp as needed
- Apply advancedknowledge to seek and develop new, better methods for accomplishing bothindividual and department objectives
- Showcase expertise in own job discipline and in-depth knowledge of other jobdisciplines within the organizational function
- Coach others todevelop in-depth knowledge and expertise in most or all areas within the function
- Lead by exampleand model behaviors that are consistent with CBRE RISE values
- Anticipate potential objections and persuade others, often atsenior levels and of divergent interest, to adopt a different point of view
- Impact theachievement of customer, operational, project,or service objectives across multi-discipline teams
- Work is guidedby functional policies which impact the design ofprocedures and policies
- Contribute tonew products, processes, standards, and/or operational plansin support of achieving functional goals
- Communicatedifficult and complex ideas with the ability to influence What You’llNeed:
- High SchoolDiploma, GED, or trade school diploma with 5-8 years of job-related experience.In lieu of a diploma, a combination ofexperience and education will be considered
- Prior shiftmanager or supervisory experience preferred
- Meet thephysical requirements of this role including stooping, standing, walking,climbing stairs/ladders, and the ability to lift/carryheavy loads of 50 lbs. or more
- The innovative mentality to develop methods that go beyond existing solutions
- Ability tosolve unique problems using standard and innovative solutions having a broad impact on the business
- In-depthknowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples includeWord, Excel, Outlook, etc.
- Expert organizational skills with an advanced inquisitee mindset
- Highly sophisticated math skills. Ability to calculate somewhat complexfigures such as percentages, fractions, and otherfinancial-related calculations.

The minimum salary for the Asst Chief Engineer position is $50.00 per hour and the maximum salary for the Asst Chief Engineer position is $52.00 per hour. The compensation that is offered to a successful candidate will depend on the candidate’s skills, qualifications, and experience.
