" ### Updated 09/29/2025 Location: Chh Sambhajinagar Role Definition Develops, oversees, and strives to maximize the efficiency of the transportation network necessary to provide end-to-end supply chains. ### Responsibilities - Analyzing and developing logistics plans that affect production, distribution, and inventory specific to area of responsibility. - Overseeing carrier selection and renewals. Participating in contract negotiations and interfacing with selected carriers necessary to maintain expected levels of service. - Improving logistics processes through process improvement, prioritization, and project planning. - Developing and maintaining cost estimates, forecasts, and cost models. Tracking costs and savings for all transportation modes. ### Experience 13-14 years Qualification: B.E./ B.Tech any stream Skill Descriptors Accuracy and Attention to Detail: Understanding the necessity and value of accuracy; ability to complete tasks with high levels of precision. ### Level Working Knowledge - Accurately gauges the impact and cost of errors, omissions, and oversights. - Utilizes specific approaches and tools for checking and cross-checking outputs. - Processes limited amounts of detailed information with good accuracy. - Learns from mistakes and applies lessons learned. - Develops and uses checklists to ensure that information goes out error-free. ### Decision Making and Critical Thinking Knowledge of the decision-making process and associated tools and techniques; ability to accurately analyze situations and reach productive decisions based on informed judgment. ### Level Working Knowledge - Applies an assigned technique for critical thinking in a decision-making process. - Identifies, obtains, and organizes relevant data and ideas. - Participates in documenting data, ideas, players, stakeholders, and processes. - Recognizes, clarifies, and prioritizes concerns. - Assists in assessing risks, benefits and consideration of alternatives. ### Effective Communications Understanding of effective communication concepts, tools and techniques; ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviors. ### Level Basic Understanding - Describes non-verbal behaviors that influence the interpretation of the message. - Cites examples of effective and ineffective communications. - Explains the importance of effective business communication. - Speaks/writes using correct language, mechanics, and gestures. ### Performance Management Knowledge of successful performance management techniques; ability to apply related knowledge, experience and skills into real practice. ### Level Basic Understanding - Describes the typical tasks associated with using and managing suppliers. - Defines common terms and conditions of agreements with suppliers. - Explains the organizational process for soliciting and selecting suppliers. - States the roles and responsibilities of one's own and suppliers' staff. ### Transportation - MFG Knowledge of transportation; ability to transport materials and goods to and from suppliers, distribution centers, manufacturing facilities and customers. ### Level Working Knowledge - Participates in arranging transportation of goods. - Ensures on time shipments; anticipates and resolves shipping problems. - Assists in calculating costs; uses associated billing and freight payment procedures. - Follows process for issuing bids and analyzing responses from carriers. - Works with at least one type of transportation mode and carrier.
