Role and Team Reporting to the Operations Manager or other designated manager, you will operate motor vehicles on the premises in support of auction activities. Your primary focus is to execute vehicle movement across the lot by transporting and staging units in designated areas under the direction of leadership. ### Responsibilities Safe Operations: Always operate motor vehicles safely and practice conservative, cautious, and courteous driving habits. ### Vehicle Staging Support efficient lot flow and ensure vehicles are positioned accurately to meet operational and sale day needs. ### Operational Support Safely move, stage, and park various makes, models, sizes, and conditions of vehicles in designated lot areas throughout the shift. ### Efficiency Move vehicles from the finish line to designated parking spots using alphanumeric ordering. ### Inventory Tracking Scan parked vehicles in the Internal Tracking system to maintain accurate inventory and record movement. ### Maintenance Jump-start vehicles using a battery box as required. ### Safety Compliance Maintain work areas to ensure a safe environment and promptly notify managers of all driving-related incidents or potential hazards. ### Policy Adherence Follow company procedures involving accidents, injuries, or property damage, and ensure all state or federal laws are followed. ### Other Duties Perform any other duties assigned by the designated manager. ### Skills and Attributes Teamwork Hardworking, motivated team player who collaborates well with multiple departments and customers. ### Communication Effective interpersonal skills with the ability to follow basic English instructions. ### Technical Literacy Ability to comprehend alphanumeric order and motor vehicle traffic signs. ### Adaptability Ability to work in a fast-paced environment in all weather conditions. ### Detail-Oriented Proven ability to multitask while maintaining attention to detail. ### Customer Focus Strong customer service skills. ### Qualifications - High School diploma or GED preferred - Must be 18 years of age and have a valid driver’s license that meets the requirements Able to safely drive a variety of vehicle makes, models, and sizes Automotive or auction experience preferred - Proficiency with computer systems and applications ADESA Values Our Next Customer May Be Your Mom: Every customer deserves the same level of care and respect one would give to their own mother. ### We’re All in This Together The company is unified by the shared goal of providing fantastic customer experiences, achieved through mutual trust, respect, and understanding. ### There Are No Sidelines Employees are encouraged to be proactive, work hard, and take ownership of what needs to be done in a fast-paced environment. ### Be Brave Employees should not fear taking risks, pushing themselves outside their comfort zones, or being decisive, even if they stumble along the way. ### Zag Forward The company empowers creative and passionate thinking to find meaningful ways to be different and deliver amazing experiences. ### Don’t Be a Richard A simple guiding principle to act appropriately and professionally. ### Stay Scrappy This value rejects mediocrity and "good enough," pushing employees to do more with less to pass savings on to customers.
