Ensure at all times operating principles are being adhered to: Clean - Keep all areas clean and pristine. ### Safe - Follow all safety policies and procedures. ### Friendly - Use customer family style service to provide superior guest service. ### Fun - Have fun! Be interactive with all internal and external guests while maintaining professional standards. Responsible for the assistance in transporting money, chips, tokens, and markers. Responsible for controlling access to restricted areas. Responsible for reacting to patron and team member incidents and accidents. Accountable to monitor patron and team member passage in and out of the casino. Responsible for checking for and reporting safety hazards. Responsible for checking ID's or notifying management if an underage patron is on the gaming floor. Responsible for observation and identification of guests who may be intoxicated. Assists the Security Management team with casino floor activities and guest disputes. Ensure the safety and security of all guests and employees. Serve as team leader for emergency response drills and evacuations. Responsible for knowledge of all special events and promotional activities available to guest. Other duties as assigned. MARGINAL ### JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (performed infrequently) Check IDs for patrons as they enter the gaming floor as needed Push in slot chairs and clean floor of empty glasses and dirty ashtrays as needed ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS The position is responsible to the Security Supervisor for successful performance of assigned duties. EQUIPMENT/PHYSICAL ### SKILLS - Ability to use all equipment associated with the position, including, but not limited to, the following: Hand held radio and flashlight - Use of Security - Reports Database System ID scanners Multi-line telephone PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT Physical demands associated with the position including, but not limited to, the following: Walking and standing – 80% Bending and lifting – 15% (up to 35lbs without assistance) Climbing – 5% Casino environment exposed to hot and cold temperatures, excessive noise levels, bright lights, and smoke. May include a boat and/or floating barge. High rise hotel and atrium. Use of stairs, elevator, and escalator. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. ESSENTIAL JOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES AND ### COMPETENCIES Ability to learn and use the Security Reports Database System. Ability to write reports. Ability to use a telephone and two-way radio. Ability to read and understand memos. Knowledge of local, state laws, internal controls and gaming regulations. Ability to perform duties under frequent time pressure in an interruptive environment. Knowledge of OSHA regulations. ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION, AND TRAINING High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred One year experience in security preferred - Must be able to obtain and hold a valid state gaming license - Ability to obtain and hold a Louisiana Responsible Vendor's card - Ability to obtain and hold a valid driver’s license - Ability to obtain any and all licenses, certifications, insurance coverage or any other indemnifications which may be required by the company for the successful completion of the duties associated with this position. CERTIFICATES, LICENSES AND REGISTRATIONS Ability to obtain and hold a Louisiana Responsible Vendor's card.
